About SCHOOL OF ROCK ORLANDO in Orlando, FL

For more than 10 years, we’ve helped students of all ages and skill levels hone their craft and reach their musical goals. Our students don’t just learn to play music – they get to show off their talents on real rock stages. Through a series of private lessons and group rehearsals, students learn guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and keys and then get to show off their skills to real rock audiences. School of Rock offers a unique approach to learning music, and we’re proud of the results we’ve seen over the last decade.

BeAKid
Little Wing

Little Wing is School of Rock's music program designed for our youngest students (mainly 3 to 5-year-olds). This music program for toddlers and preschoolers features a special curriculum where students play games and participate in other interactive activities to help them internalize the foundational skills they will use as their musical abilities grow. Little Wing students have one weekly group lesson in which they use classic rock songs to learn about rhythm, song structure, melody, and dynamics through play.

BeAKid
Rookies

Rookies is a music program designed for children (typically 6 to 7-year-olds) with no previous musical experience. As with all our music programs, Rookies adheres to the patented School of Rock Method. Our Method's core philosophy is that performance-based music education is the best way for students to gain musical proficiency. Rookies students have one weekly group music lesson where they learn music fundamentals like chords, rhythm and song structure. Kids get to learn and experiment with multiple instruments so they are then able to decide which one they ultimately want to continue pursuing in Rock 101.

SONGWRITING

Creating original songs can be one of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences for musicians. School of Rock’s Songwriting Program teaches the fundamentals of songwriting, arrangement and music theory, and helps students compose original works. Students have one weekly private lesson on an instrument of their choice where they learn concepts, technique and theory. These principles are then applied in weekly group lessons where students work together on songwriting exercises and lyrical workshops. Every few months, Songwriting Program students take the stage to perform or band together to record their original songs.
