About Lake Brantley Rowing Association in Orlando, FL

At Lake Brantley Rowing Association (LBRA), we aim to foster confidence and camaraderie amongst our members. Established in 1988 by a group of students from Lake Brantley High School, LBRA is dedicated to making this unique sport accessible to all. We are a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization, fully self-supporting and proud owners of our own practice facility and equipment, enabling us to provide a comprehensive training program. Our mantra is ‘students for students’, and we make it our mission to provide a fun and safe environment for anyone to come and explore the wonderful world of rowing. We believe that no previous experience is necessary to join our team, and we strive to equip our members with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. Our program emphasizes the importance of leadership and teamwork, allowing our members to grow and develop their skills in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.

BeAKid
Elementary & Middle School Team

Lake Brantley Rowing Association offers elementary and middle school students the opportunity to learn to row at a developmental and competitive level. The middle school program is open to all students in grades 5-8 attending any public or private school in Central Florida. Our coaches will teach new crew members the proper rowing technique on rowing machines before getting on the water. We also emphasize basic conditioning and cardio training to build strength and endurance.

BeAKid
High School Team

When you join the LBRA team, you’ll learn the principles of rowing from experienced trainers and develop techniques that will enable you to enhance your individual skill and work better in a team. We will first train you on our rowing machines to improve your form while enhancing your cardio and strength before going out on the water. Once you’ve completed your preliminary training, you’ll join your team out on the lake where you’ll develop cooperation and synergy with your fellow rowers.
