About Sports Club

In 1999, Lane Beatty, a physical educator, had a vision to create a new type of summer camp for working parents in Naples, Florida. The Sports CLUB concept was a revolutionary idea that allowed children to choose from a variety of activities throughout the day, based on 45-minute rotations. Lane’s concept was based on the type of sports and games he had played growing up in a small town in Northern Michigan. After a successful summer camp, parents asked to have the same choices during the after-school program as well. Thus, the non-profit organization Sports Camp, Inc. was formed and the after-school Sports CLUB program began. Sports CLUB is dedicated to helping children achieve a balanced lifestyle that includes equal emphasis on academics, the arts and athletics. The program provides students with homework help, arts and crafts, and a variety of physical activities between 2:45-6:30 p.m. Today, the program has grown significantly and is making a positive impact on over 1000 students in Collier County.

Gymnastics Programs

Students taking part in our regular gymnastics classes will train on all of the Olympic events. Gymnastics skill training is a prerequisite to all sports and physical activities by helping to increase coordination, body strength, balance, flexibility and overall motor skill development. These classes are available for children 5-years-old and up.

Tumbling/Trampoline

Tumbling and trampoline classes train on our spring floor, Tumble Trak, 3 in- ground trampolines and are perfect for those are looking to improve skills for other activities such as dance or cheerleading. This class also suits those interested in basic gymnastics training without going on the apparatus. This class not suitable for younger children.

Pre-School Gymnastics

Pre-School Gymnastics classes are for 3-4 year olds. Classes focus on motor skill development, balance, strength, self-confidence and allowing the children to interact in a social environment with others their own age.

Sports Club Center

After-school children are divided into three age groups: K-1, 2-3 and 4^. Within these groups, they are presented with various rotation choices every 45 minutes. Activity schedules are made daily to ensure that all children get a variety of options throughout the week. We are constantly striving to make their after-school experience as fun as possible and the Sports CLUB Center has a lot to offer; children have access to our enormous playground, an updated game zone room, a brand new computer lab, an indoor hardcourt for a wide variety of games, a grassy field for outdoor sports, a covered pavilion with a basketball court and scooters, a bounce house, a trampoline jump shot game and designated areas for group games, legos and arts and crafts (to name a few).
