About Swim Float Swim Miami

Swim Float Swim Miami is the perfect solution for parents who want to ensure their child is receiving the safest and most effective swimming instruction. Our Self-Rescue Swimming Instruction program is designed for children between the ages of 7 months and 6 years of age and is provided in the home. Our method emphasizes developmentally-appropriate skills training, customized one-on-one instruction, and a safe learning environment. Our instructors are focused on your child throughout the entire lesson period, which is no more than 10 minutes a day, four days a week, Tuesday through Friday. With 25 to 30 lessons, your child will have mastered the self-rescue skills they need to enjoy the water. Parent education is also provided as part of our program, to ensure your child is receiving the best possible instruction.

Infants

Students will learn to hold their breath underwater, roll onto their back and float unassisted.

Children

Students will learn the Swim-Float-Swim sequence. They will learn how to hold their breath underwater; swim with their head down and eyes open; roll onto their back to float, rest, and breathe; and roll back over to resume swimming until they reach the side of the pool, to either crawl out or be rescued by an adult.

Final Week of Lessons

Since statistics show that 83% of all children who drown are fully clothed at the time, during the final week of lessons, while under the watchful eye of an instructor, each of our students will have the opportunity to practice their self-rescue skills in both their summer and winter clothes. We also invite the parent to join their child in the water and participate in one of the last lessons. This gives the child the opportunity to show their parent(s) their newly acquired skills, building the child’s self esteem and confidence. This also gives us the opportunity to demonstrate the proper ways to reinforce the techniques taught in our program.
