About Coffee and Canvas Orlando in Longwood, FL
My name is Laura Bird Miller and I’m a teacher by trade. I have a bachelors in biology and a fine art minor, and have been teaching art at Circle Christian School for the past 15 years. I decided to take a break from teaching and in 2013 I opened my own business, “Coffee and Canvas”. The studio was up and running for three years in Springs Plaza before closing its doors in 2016. After that I continued teaching classes from my home studio and hosting mobile events, bringing the creative experience to people in their own space. I’m passionate about helping others reach their artistic goals and look forward to inspiring others to explore their creativity with coffee in hand!

After-school Art Classes
It’s time for some after-school fun as we dig deeper into drawing and painting! Students will be inspired by Miss Laura to draw and paint various genres of drawing and painting. The gallery below shows examples from the past. New pieces may also be introduced! We will have so much fun! Includes, paint, brushes, canvases, step by step instruction including age-appropriate introduction to elements of art and principles of design. Come join the fun!

Summer Art Camp
Summer Art Camps with Miss Laura are always so much fun!! Students 2nd grade through 8th grade LOVE these camps and age-appropriate samples are created for each theme. You will be pleasantly surprised with what your kiddos will create! Miss Laura teaches art at Circle Christian School during the school year and has taught K-12 art for over 15 years. She also had a store-front studio in Springs Plaza for 3 years where she taught art to children and adults young at heart! Today she teaches after-school art and summer camps from her home studio and virtually. Her passion for sharing the joy of painting and creating and her love of summer camps flows over into the kiddos!

Children’s Art Parties & Parties for the Young at Heart
We bring the art in pARTy to you! Children's art parties! Fun for budding artists, catering to artsy-fartsy folks who are 21 and younger, those who are young at heart, or anyone wishing an alcohol-free (or highly caffeinated!) painting experience! We bring all the supplies, set up, clean up, give step by step instruction and provide professional, creative fun with your group. Besides children's parties, we offer team building, ladies events at your church, birthday parties, family gatherings, bridal showers, and MORE!
