Since 1948, we’ve been providing children and youth with amazing, Christ-centered experiences on the shore of Lake Griffin.
At Camp Griffin, we strive to fulfill our mission of helping campers know Jesus Christ as Savior and as a friend. Through our activities, we focus on teaching campers about their role as members of the Church and as disciples of God, as well as showing them how to live with and appreciate themselves and others. We also provide campers with the opportunity to build relationships with Christian youth from all around.
Our commitment to safety and quality has earned us accreditation from the American Camp Association. We’re proud to have served families for more than seven decades, providing children and youth with positive, Christ-centered experiences on the shore of Lake Griffin. We’re dedicated to giving campers the tools they need to engage their faith in their own communities, appreciate God’s wonderful world, and become responsible stewards of the environment.

Classic Overnight Camps
Our Classic Overnight Camps includes a week of lodging and meals supervised by our amazing Summer Leadership Team. Camp sessions begin with drop-off at 2:00pm Monday and end with pick-up at 9:00am Saturday.
Studies show that an overnight camp experience can have a huge impact on developing independence and self-worth in young people. While with us campers are given opportunities to exercise leadership skills, make decisions, understand responsibility, be creative, practice independence and learn to become comfortable with themselves all in a safe and Christ-centered environment.
Classic Camps are separated into three age levels:
Elementary Camp– for students rising into 4th grade through rising into 5th grade
Middle School Camp– for students rising into 6th grade through rising into 8th grade
High School Camp– for students rising into 9th grade through graduated 12th graders
Each camp’s games, curriculum, and worship are separate and age-appropriate. Giving campers daily opportunities to meet in small groups to study scripture and learn with one another. In the evenings each camp gathers for worship lead by a speaker knowledgable in United Methodist principles and beliefs.
Campers are housed in “bunk-style” cabins, supervised at all times by our Summer Leadership Team. Our ratio of students to staff in cabins is 6:1.
Meals are served in our modern dining halls to each camp three times to each day, and a daily snack is included in the price of tuition. We are happy to accommodate vegetarian and vegan diets, as well as, a variety of medically necessary diets.
