Family-friendly events have also been part of the Hertz Arena experience, such as the annual Lee County Fair, Sesame Street Live, Disney Junior Holiday, Paw Patrol Live, Monster Jam, and more. Hertz Arena has come a long way since its opening in 1998. Since then, the arena has hosted over 300 events, featuring a variety of entertainment including concerts, sports, and family-friendly events. From the Boston Pops to Cirque du Soleil, the Harlem Globetrotters to Impractical Jokers, and Jeff Dunham to Jim Gaffigan, the arena has no shortage of amazing acts. Music fans have enjoyed performances from a plethora of top-tier artists including Cher, Elton John, Alabama, Alan Jackson, Bad Bunny, Barry Manilow, Bob Seger, Brooks & Dunn, Chris Stapleton, Def Leppard, Eric Church, Godsmack, Greta Van Fleet, Guns N’ Roses, Hank Williams Jr., Hillsong United, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marc Anthony, Miranda Lambert, Newsboys, Shinedown, Steve Miller Band, Sting, Stone Temple Pilots, Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, and ZZ Top. Learn To Skate

Hertz Arena’s Learn to Skate classes are for the beginner skater age 4 and up. With small competitions and annual Christmas shows, the students are engaged in more than just the lesson process. With a large variety of classes, the Learn to Skate program is for figure and hockey skaters.

Youth Hockey

Hertz Arena hosts one of the largest youth hockey leagues in the southern states. With over 400 players in leagues from Mini Mite to High School, we provide a fun and competitive atmosphere for the game of hockey. Our participants enjoy a league that is sanctioned by USA Hockey and is an avid proponent of the American Development Model (ADM) skill training. Here at Hertz Arena, we pride ourselves on skill development, sportsmanship and a safe playing environment for our players. All coaches, referees and instructors are USA Hockey Certified.

Figure Skating

Hertz Arena offers U.S.F.S. programs, providing quality programming for the individual competitive figure skater, combining group and private instruction. Classes are provided in free skating, edge and dance. In addition, skaters are encouraged to take private lessons from our top rated professional staff. Skaters taking private lessons are responsible for the following costs: ice and instructor.
