Aikido is the perfect martial art for parents who want to learn self-defense without becoming too aggressive. Developed by Morehei Ueshiba O-Sensei in pre-war Japan, Aikido draws on several forms of aiki-jujitsu (unarmed grappling), sword, and spear warfare.
