For over 100 years, YMCA Camp Winona has been a place where youth can come and learn, grow and have fun in an environment that is safe and wholesome. Our goal is to provide each person with an experience that will help them reach their full potential, and this is why our heritage and programs are so important. Nestled among 68 acres of oaks and pines, and situated on the shores of our 88-acre spring fed Lake Winona, YMCA Camp Winona is a branch of the Volusia Flagler Family YMCA association. The atmosphere here is one of safety and excitement, and this is why YMCA Camp Winona is known as “a place in the woods that finds a place in the heart!”

OVERNIGHT CAMP

We have been providing a traditional camp experience for children for 100 years. Campers will stay in cabins (with AC!) with other campers of the same gender and similar age. During the week, campers will have the opportunity to choose their own adventure and pick what they want to really focus on; programs include archery, riflery, arts and crafts, canoes, outdoor living skills, fishing, athletics, music, and more. Your child’s safety is our first, second and third concern. We will make sure your child has an experience in adventure and character development without risking the physical or emotional safety of your child. Give your child the experience to grow with a week of resident camp.

MINI CAMP

Not sure if your younger camper is quite old enough for a full overnight experience? Mini Camp is the perfect introduction to Camp for those younger campers and campers that are a little nervous. Campers will get a taste of Overnight Camp in a three day, two night experience, participating in many of our Traditional Camp activities. Give it a try and see if your camper is going to be ready for the full week. If your Camper does a Mini Camp during or leading up to Summer and is 7 years old, call us for special entry to our one week program.

TEEN CAMP

In this camp, teens will get more camp than ever before! Our Teens will begin to build leadership skills and push their limits to realize their potential. Their schedule will be more teen friendly, as well as have the opportunity to make more activity choices that interest them. This camp is also two weeks long! This is to make sure they get more time doing activities, socializing and becoming independent is a safe environment. Teen Camp is a great step to our LIT and CIT program!
