    About Clearwater Ice Arena in Clearwater, FL

    At Tampa Bay Ice Skating Academy, we’re committed to providing all our skaters with a safe, fun, and friendly atmosphere to enjoy the sport of ice skating. We’ve been doing this since 1987, when we opened our first rink in the Tampa Bay area. Since then, we’ve grown to include a variety of recreational and competitive figure skating and hockey programs for all skill levels. We also have a top-notch coaching staff that includes USA Hockey certified coaches, along with Olympic, World, and National level instructors. We offer daily public skating sessions, youth and adult hockey programs, private ice rental, birthday party packages, and so much more. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced skater, Tampa Bay Ice Skating Academy is the perfect place to hit the ice!

    Beginner Tot

    Designed for children ages 3 -5. Our Tot Specialists focus on teaching skills in a fun, game oriented environment. Skaters will learn the proper way to fall, get back up, march in place and march across the rink. Prerequisite: children should be able to follow instruction and have a desire to learn to ice skate.

    Intro I

    Designed for children ages 6+. Instruction focuses on the proper way to fall down and stand back up, marching across the ice, snowplow stop preparation, beginning two foot glides and exercises that build up to and reinforce those skills. No prerequisites required

    Intro to Hockey

    This (30 minute class at CIA) or (45 minute class at Oldsmar) is designed for skater who have passes Pre Alpha level, or who have received coaches’ approval, and are interested in learning more about hockey. Skaters will be introduced to stick handling, passing, shooting, and drills..
