EARLY CHILDHOOD
The initial introduction to school is an extraordinary milestone for children and has the opportunity to instill a love of learning for a lifetime. At Grandview, our youngest learners spend their days learning through play in an age-appropriate manner. We foster a nurturing environment that emphasizes joy, compassion, and growth with an introduction to a broadrange of subject areas; Spanish, PE, music, art, science, dance, and Pride. Lower School (grades K - 5) is a joyful stage in a child's life and one that requires nurturing, play, exploration, and structure. Our young learners are encouraged to ask questions and let their curiosity take them to new places of inquiry. Grandview's Pride Language Arts (PLA) program is Orton-Gillingham inspired and provides a strong foundation in reading, writing, and comprehension. Our Math program provides the foundational skills and strategies needed for more advanced mathematical concepts.
