About Delaware All-State Theatre in Wilmington, DE
The Delaware All-State Theatre (DAST) is a community-centered, non-profit organization that is designed specifically for young theatre enthusiasts ranging from elementary to high school. The primary aim of the organization is to provide these young learners with the chance to collaborate with industry professionals, including artists, musicians, technicians, and other leaders in the community. The culmination of this collaboration is a grand musical production that takes place every June.
This unique program is open to all full-time students aged 19 and under, not just from Delaware, but also from the immediate surrounding regions. It gives students an incredible opportunity to become deeply immersed in a large-scale theatre production, learning first-hand from seasoned professionals.
Students involved in DAST have the choice to either take on a role on the stage or to contribute behind the scenes in a technical or volunteer capacity. This flexibility allows for a wider range of skills to be developed, catering to the different interests and talents of the students. This inclusive approach ensures that every student gets to play a part in creating the spectacular annual June production.
