About Trackside Teen Center in Wilton, CT
At Trackside Teen Center of Wilton, we strive to provide a safe and positive environment for teens in our community. Our goal is to promote healthy development and reduce risk-taking behavior, by fostering positive social skills, moral development, self-esteem and academic success. We provide engaging, exciting after-school and evening programs and events in a substance-free setting. Trackside Teen Center is a 501(c)(3) organization. To ensure that teens in our community have access to these essential programs and events, we rely heavily on donations from our generous supporters. These donations help us fund our staff, maintain and upgrade our facilities, and provide age-appropriate programming to reach out to a diverse group of teens.

Programs at Trackside Teen Center in Wilton, CT
LEADING A PROGRAM + JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Our afterschool programs are led by high school students. If you've got an idea or a talent we'll help you bring it to life. Leading a program is a valuable opportunity to mentor & work with middle school students and to learn the fundamentals of how to run your own small business. After-school programs typically run once a week for 8-10 weeks between the hours of 3:30 - 5:30p. You must be able to commit to this type of schedule. Usually one night a week is our late night where some programs meet during the early evening hours. In addition to leading programs, we also, at times have positions available for floor manager, working in our kitchen/cafe, and helping with movie nights and other special events at Trackside. If you are 16+ you have the option to be paid or volunteer. Some students prefer to volunteer. If you are under 16, the experience is a volunteer.

The Trackside robotics club focuses on designing, building, and coding a robot that is able to compete in real competitions and scrimmages through VEX Robotics. Members will learn how to work as a team, in addition to learning the basics of coding, engineering, and designing, as well as learning how to problem solve. This club is a fun introduction to the complexities of robotics! The Robotics club is best suited for kids who can focus & want to learn how to build a robot & prepare for competition. Must be able to use tools safely (with supervision) and work well in a small group, with 2 incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable high school leaders.

Join the coolest club in town. Bring your own tech deck and then get ready to upgrade it, customize it & have some serious fun. You'll build custom obstacles and work towards creating a master obstacle course and skatepark. The club ends with a competition to show off your skills and tricks.
