Your child will have plenty of opportunities to grow and learn during their stay at YMCA Camp Shore. There’s something for everyone, from our standard activities such as swimming, archery and field games to specialty camps and countless social activities. By participating in these activities, your child will gain the confidence and skills they need to succeed in the future.
At YMCA Camp Shore, we are committed to helping your child grow physically, mentally and emotionally. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child to explore and have fun while also developing self-esteem, character and leadership qualities. Campers will learn valuable lessons and gain experience that will stay with them for many years to come.
The Y makes the most of your child’s after-school time by offering active learning opportunities designed to engage and expand young minds. Housed in large, open spaces inside local schools, YMCA After School Care gives your child the opportunity to get to know their schoolmates better as they engage in active play and collaborate on fun projects. In the process, they’ll continue to develop the physical, educational, emotional, and social skills which are proven keys to success.

Community Garden
In 2014, we launched our community garden program, Partner to Grow with the goal for our YMCA community to work together and provide fresh produce to the Shoreline Soup Kitchen and Pantries. During our first season we learned how to create garden bed plans, “the pick and squish” management of pests, harvesting techniques, and with the help of many volunteers and stakeholders from the community at large, proudly delivered more than 2000 pounds to the food pantry from our 18 garden beds. Due to that success, in 2015 we increased our garden to 30 beds and by 2016 we were harvesting over 3,000 pounds of produce out of our “front yard”.
