EARLY CHILDHOOD MUSIC CLASSES
Our Early Childhood Music Classes are using the Learning Groove Songs and Stories, a research-based early childhood program specifically designed for children ages birth to 4, a program where they get to participate with their parent(s) or a guardian. The Learning Groove is a state-of-the-art early childhood curriculum created by Eric Litwin- the author of the first four Pete the Cat books along with Michael Levine, the music producer of those cool soundtracks accompanying Pete the Cat's adventures. The New Old School of Music teachers were trained by The Learning Groove company and the school has a license to use this curriculum.

KIDDYKEYS
KiddyKeys program is designed for children 4 and 5 years of age who are too young to start one-on-one lessons and prefer a fun, instructional group setting instead. The program begins with parents attending along with their children yet whenever families feel that their children are comfortable attending class by themselves, we support and encourage the transition to an independent learning experience. During class, each participant will be provided with his/her keyboard. The children in the group will also get the chance to use the rhythm sticks, handheld bells, drums, and other small percussion instruments to help reinforce the learning of basic rhythm patterns and new music concepts. KiddyKeys is thinking about your child as a whole and works to include critical, age-appropriate life lessons in the classes (i.e. listening and following instructions, sharing, being polite, helping a friend, and taking turns).
