About J Swim School
At the Mandell JCC, everyone is welcome to join the vibrant community of people from all ages, stages and beliefs. Not only will you make new friends and strengthen existing relationships, but you can also benefit from the many offerings at the main campus and satellite facilities. You can get fit in the state-of-the-art fitness center, explore a variety of cultures in the cultural center, learn something new in the preschool, take a dip in the aquatics center, watch a show in the theater, enjoy some family time in the family room, admire beautiful art in the gallery, attend lectures in the hall and get physical therapy in the center. All of this is available right here in the Mandell JCC neighborhood.

Preschool & Childcare
The Mandell JCC is proud to offer convenient preschool locations in both West Hartford and Glastonbury. These JCC early childhood programs are designed to give children a variety of opportunities to master social, emotional and physical tasks of each developmental stage in a healthy, safe and caring Jewish environment that welcomes children and families of all backgrounds.
The Swim & Tennis Club
The Swim & Tennis Club is an extension of the JCC, a family summer oasis bringing the same Jewish values and conveniently located in Bloomfield. The Swim & Tennis Club features one of the region’s largest “Z” shaped Olympic-size recreational outdoor swimming pools with a slide, diving board and family friendly kiddie pool, children’s playscape and sandpit, along with 4 Har Tru and 4 asphalt tennis courts.
Sharks Swim Team
The Mandell JCC Sharks Swim Team is a nonprofit member of USA Swimming, that offers year round swimming opportunities to kids aged 6 and older. We are dedicated to the proper development and sound character building of competitive swimmers both in and out of the water. We help our swimmers reach their full potential through a balanced approach between the physical and the mental training necessary to be successful and wellrounded individuals.
