About Litchfield County 4-H UConn Extension in Storrs Mansfield, CT
At Conn 4-H, we believe that everyone should have access to the same life-transforming experiences. That’s why we’re proud to offer our alumni a chance to stay connected with the program. We want to share your stories, celebrate your successes, and provide the opportunity to come back and volunteer.
Our program alumni have made positive impacts in their communities, careers, and families. We believe that 4-H gives them the tools to be successful. Harlan Hyde, a New London County 4-H volunteer, sums this up perfectly: “We have an opportunity to impress on 4-Hers the givers heart. It’s important to us that the whole thing started with farmers dumping milk, being limited to what they could ship to market. We want to increase demand, buy fruit that might not be sold at market, and get the 4-H members involved in community service. We’re taking a holistic approach from farm to food pantry to table.”
