At SoundWaters, we believe in the power of education to protect and preserve Long Island Sound. We strive to provide dynamic, hands-on learning opportunities that connect children with the Sound in meaningful ways. Through this approach, we help create students who are better equipped to become lifelong stewards of the environment and actively protect Long Island Sound.

Young Mariners Academy
Leadership, Teamwork, Learning, Sailing, Community Young Mariners Academy is a unique summer enrichment experience for students entering grades 6-9. There is a strong emphasis on sailing instructions to encourage teamwork, leadership and learning while promoting a close sense of community. In addition to sailing the students learn about navigation, marine life, weather, and tides and how these key sailing skills relate to school subjects such as math, reading, science, geography, and writing.

Fall Adventure Series
After-School at SoundWaters The SoundWaters Fall Adventure Series programs provide students with an after-school opportunity to get outside and have fun on and near the water, socialize with their peers, and engage in dynamic science learning focused on the Long Island Sound.
