About Cotton School of Drumming

Dennis Cotton is an experienced music teacher, having taught in New York State from 1989-2006. During his time in New York, Dennis’s students achieved remarkable success in the New York State Scholastic Music Associations (NYSSMA) annual solo competitions, often receiving perfect scores. His students’ efforts have been rewarded with scholarships to study music at universities and many of them have gone on to pursue music as a career. In order to help his students reach their highest potential, Dennis has developed a “hybrid” teaching method that combines his professional background with his years of experience teaching scholastic music. This combination creates an enriching learning experience that can help any aspiring drummer achieve success.

Drum Lessons Drum Instruction for a full range of students. Specializing in Drum Set - Scholastic Snare Drum, Bell Kit and Percussion - World Percussion and Hand Drumming. Recommended ages, 10 and above, Adults of all levels welcomed! Dennis’s “hybrid” teaching method combines his extensive professional background with his 20 plus years teaching scholastic music. This creates a more rounded learning experience with enough depth to be useful to any emergent and professional drummers needs.
