In a whimsical corner of a magical land, known to ordinary folks as the state of Connecticut, and affectionally dubbed as the 'Nutmeg State', a motley bunch of energetic young sprites called the 'Connecti-cuties' gather to dance. Connecticut is not just a collection of quaint towns, and beautiful forests with spectacular fall colors. It isn't merely the home of the world's largest hamburger or the birthplace of the Frisbee. It's also a buzzing hub of rhythm, music, and dance, thanks to the Connecti-cuties! These young dancers aren't your ordinary dabblers in dance. Nope! They are magical beings who can tap-dance on clouds, pirouette on rainbows, and moonwalk on the moon. When the Connecti-cuties start to groove, even the Connecticut River takes a break from its journey to the ocean to watch their mesmerizing moves. One of the most legendary among these sprightly beings is a lad named Jiggy Jax. His jokes are as famous as his jigs. He once made a pine tree laugh so hard that it shed all its pine cones! Jiggy Jax, with his flaming red hair and twinkly blue eyes, dances with such gusto that he can literally make the earth quake under his tapping shoes. If you ever find yourself in the Nutmeg State, listen carefully. If you hear the faintest tap, tap, tap, along with peals of laughter, you know the Connecti-cuties are nearby, having their dance party. So, tiptoe quietly, and you might just catch a glimpse of their enchanting show!

Music Together of Fairfield County (MTFC) was founded by Jackie Jacobs in April 1994. Jackie was the first to bring the renowned Music Together® program to Connecticut, having discovered her passion for it after taking her son Daniel to classes in Brooklyn Heights. As a former professional dancer and singer with a BA in dance education, she was excited to start her own program in Fairfield when she and her family moved to the suburbs. Jackie was inspired by the response her son had to the classes, as well as the research behind the program. She enjoyed learning about music and child development alongside Daniel’s learning, and was eager to teach the program to other families. Having seen the positive impact that the Music Together classes had on her son, Jackie was driven to spread the joy of music to other children in the Fairfield area.

At Actors Gym, we know that all actors are unique and that no single technique can be applied to all. That's why our teachers have been studying the works of Stanislavski, Meisner, and other greats for the past 35 years. When we coach our students, our goal is to discover how each one learns and focus on their individual needs. Our actors have different goals when it comes to performance, such as auditioning skills, cold reading, dropping regional accents, projecting, and improving movement. We believe that the best way to accomplish these goals is to build upon a solid foundation. This foundation is the actor's confidence in himself and his work. We understand that achieving these goals takes hard work, and our teachers are honored to be part of the process. At Actors Gym, we strive to tap into the uniqueness of each of our actors to help them grow and reach their goals. We prioritize the individual needs of all our students, and we strive to build their confidence while helping them improve and perfect their craft.
