About YMCA New Haven
At the New Haven YMCA Youth Center, we are committed to providing our youth with the best care, recreation and learning opportunities available. Our preschool program for 3 and 4-year-olds is NAEYC accredited and provides a full day of activities. For children between 5-12, we have an afterschool care program that allows them to have fun and learn in a safe environment. Our older youth can take advantage of our walk-in program, which offers a range of recreational activities like open basketball and support. We strive to create a positive and nurturing atmosphere for all of our participants.

SWIM LESSONS
For more than 160 years, the YMCA has nurtured potential and united communities across America to create lasting, meaningful change. Everything the Y does is in service of building a better us. One of the most effective ways to accomplish this is to teach youth, teens, and adults to swim, so they can stay safe around water and learn the skills they need to make swimming a lifelong pursuit for staying healthy.
After School Child Care
The Y is here to meet your school age child care needs! Our program combines academics with play, and offers a caring and safe environment where kids can achieve, feel a sense of belonging, build friendships and explore new interests. Once homework is complete and snacks finished, Y staff will lead the participants in various enrichment activities including STEAM, kids fitness and fine arts.
Camp
Enjoying outdoor fun, swimming, field trips, arts & crafts and making new friends are just some aspects of the experience of participating in our Summer Care Program. As summer approaches, the New Haven Y Youth Center reminds parents that Summer Care is a unique and invaluable experience for children and teens.
