Afro Beat Fun for All
A fun and energetic class where students get to explore a fusion of traditional West African moves and sounds and contemporary Afro beats. Mason's focus is on everyone having fun and learning something new. She emphasizes the importance of creating a healthy sense of self and community where people are nice to one another, work as a team to accomplish one common goal, and have the confidence to share what they know or have learned.

Afro-Brazilian Dance Workshop
Expressly focused to teach students about the unique Afro-Brazilian culture. The group performs the movements of the unique art form of Capoeira, which combines elements of martial arts, gymnastics, and folk dance. The ensemble performs the Maculele, a traditional native stick fighting dance, and the grand finale with Brazil's national music and dance of Samba.

This program will take students and faculty on a musical journey through the rich music history of the United States. Meant for any age group, this experience transcends all boundaries, cultures, races, creeds and colors. Each song will be given a brief introduction describing the song itself, the artist and its contribution to American Music.
