Youth@Bruce - iCreate Annual High School Exhibition

The Bruce Museum Youth Committee is a student-based volunteer group designed to empower area high school students to become active volunteers at the Bruce Museum. Its mission is to elevate the volunteer experience for dedicated high school volunteers by engaging them in learning and managing opportunities that provide the teens with job skills and a visible role in the Bruce Museum. This volunteer group organizes the annual iCreate high school exhibition and works alongside Bruce Museum staff at every stage of the exhibition's progression. This intern experience gives the students an overview of all the work that goes into a large exhibit from planning, task checklists, juried selections, communications, collection management, working with a team, and finally the reward of seeing it all come to completion.
