Our studio is more than just a place to learn technique; we are a family that values each individual and offers the opportunity to excel in a positive atmosphere. We are proud of our commitment to excellence and our dance program. Our year-end recital gives our students the chance to show off their newly mastered skills on stage in front of our dance community. We also have one of the most sought pre-professional competitive programs in the country, with our company dance teams being National Dance Champions year after year. This success has earned us recognition as one of the top 50 Dance Studios in the country and #1 in the Northeast. TWINKLE TOES

A developmental class focusing on child participation is designed for dancers ages 3 years old. Students are exposed to different styles of music, movement, and fun dance games. This class offers an introduction to valuable skills such as listening, taking turns, standing in line, and following directions. This class offers an environment for children to developmentally grow, both individually and socially in a dance class setting. Additionally, activities will explore gross motor skill development and rhythm activities. This class is a pre-introduction to dance and is a great class to help transition your children into a dance class on their own

COMBO CLASS

Ballet, tap, tumbling, and creative movement. dancers are introduced to more formal dance techniques. This class will lay the foundation for correct, safe, and successful dancing in years to follow while still creating a fun and engaging environment for our young dancers to learn and grow. Students will expand on the basic steps and terminology and continue to explore their own creative movements in a safe and positive environment. Along with the introduction of more skills and techniques, our instructors continue to foster creativity and imagination in class through movement and imagination games. Students will also work on refining rhythm and musicality through listening games and rhythm activities. Dancers in this class will continue to improve upon their flexibility, coordination, and classroom socialization.

JAZZ

Jazz combines many styles and techniques from popular and contemporary dance to ballet. Our jazz classes teach basic jazz dance technique, terminology, and style with an emphasis on proper technique, alignment, and movement quality. Classes include engaging warm-ups, isolations, stretches, across-the-floor progressions, and choreography combinations. These classes are for dancers who like precision and rhythm, physical challenges, and personal style and expression. Set to a variety of fun, engaging, and age-appropriate music, jazz classes are a great workout and fun for all ages.

LYRICAL

The lyrical dance began as an offshoot of jazz dance and was originally termed ‘lyrical jazz’. For that reason, lyrical is considered a fusion of ballet and jazz, with expressive movements that aim to tell a story. A unique trait of the lyrical genre is the emotional connection and storytelling brought to life by the song lyrics. Movement may be choreographed to the lyrics of a song, not just the rhythm. Students will learn lyrical techniques along with how to express emotion through their movement to create a connection with their audiences.

ACRO/TUMBLING

A style that combines basic acrobatic and gymnastics skills with dance. Improves strength, flexibility, and balance. Students will begin with basic stunts such as log rolls, forward rolls, cartwheels, and beginner balances. More advanced students will continue to add to their repertoire with more advanced tumbling, balances, and stunts. Instructors are trained to provide every student with the necessary instruction and skills to ensure students are developing their acrobatic skills in a safe way.
