East Haddam is thrilled to announce the new tennis and pickleball courts at the Municipal Building are now open! Our thanks to the Municipal Building Committee for their hard work and dedication to the project. Windscreens will be installed soon, but for now, the courts are open daily from dawn until dusk!

Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to town! Presented by East Haddam Youth and Family Services, kids can share their wish lists and take a photo with Santa. Mrs. Claus will host a toy workshop and all children will receive a free gift. The Leos and East Haddam Libraries will also have a letter writing station in the Parks and Rec Activity Room. Don't forget to include your child's return address on the envelope and our elves will make sure it gets to the North Pole! Get in the holiday spirit with an indoor snowball fight in the Municipal gym and a stop at the Hot Chocolate Café. Cookie decorating and a cocoa bar will be available for everyone to enjoy.

Volunteer coaches will offer skill-based instruction focusing on fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding, and defense with small scrimmages. Saturdays January 7- February 11. East Haddam Elementary, Time TBD, $85. Grades 3-8: Players will participate in a traditional season consisting of practices and games. 

Youth Basketball Grades 1-8

Learning basketball has never been more fun! These classes focus on dribbling, shot technique, passing and teamwork. Adjustable hoops and appropriately sized basketballs are used to always provide just the right amount of challenge. 

Skyhawks Basketball

Tuesdays and Fridays, January 3-March 31. Tuesday Training Session 5:15-6:15 p.m., Municipal Gym. Friday Match Play
