About AYSO Upland Highlanders

AYSO Region 32 in Upland is an exciting recreational soccer program for children ages 3 to 18 that allows them to have a positive soccer experience. It is part of a national organization, with hundreds of thousands of volunteers and players, and is divided into Areas and Sections. Area 1-G, to which Upland belongs, is part of Section 1, which covers Los Angeles County, the Inland Empire, and extends all the way to Nevada. Our program has around 1,500 players and runs from August to mid-December. But even if you don’t live in Upland, you can still take part in our program. AYSO encourages generous donations in order to keep the program running and in order to provide scholarships for players who need financial help. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, with our taxpayer identification number being 95-6205398. However, registration fees for players are not tax-deductible. LITTLE SCOTTIES - 5U SCHOOLYARD

5U is set up to be a fun introduction to the fundamentals and basic rules of soccer. Unlike the other divisions, there are no set teams in 5U. Each week the field will be divided up into grids, with each grid doing the exact same things under the guidance of one of our activity leaders. A child doesn't have to go to the same grid each week. Just the same session time. The sessions last for one hour and are divided into two parts: a series of fun drills and games for the first 40 minutes, followed by a 20 minute scrimmage.

SCOTTIE PUPS - 4U PLAYGROUND

The objective of the 4U Playground Program is to use soccer as the "teaching thread" to develop fundamental motor skills such as balance, running, jumping and throwing for three year olds. This is the foundation of sports success and an active lifestyle. Please don't expect 45 minutes of soccer games. About week 3 will introduce some game play for the last 15 minutes of the session.

VIP Program

The mission of the AYSO VIP Program is to provide a quality soccer experience for individuals whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult for them to successfully participate on mainstream soccer teams. Successful participation is defined by the player’s enjoyment and the safety of all team members.
