PAINT PARTY WITH MARY (5-8YRS)

This class will introduce students to drawing and painting so that they feel confident and find their own creative voice. Throughout the session, course will explore the elements of drawing from life, drawing from images, inventive drawing, mark making, elements of design and drawing & painting techniques. Class will incorporate music, movement, gesture, and play. May be repeated as every session has new projects and skills.

DRAWING & PAINTING (5-8YRS)

Come explore with us! Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of drawing and painting with emphasis placed on nurturing each student’s natural development of creative expression. During each class, line, shape, color, and composition will be explored through a variety of art materials and experimentation.

CREATIVE CLAY PLAY (5-8YRS)

This class will introduce students to working with clay in a fun and engaging way. Children will create whimsical sculptures inspired by mythical magical creatures and learn foundational ceramic skills. Our focus will be on developing fine motor skills through handbuilding techniques such as pinch, coil and slabs while discovering the elements of design; line, shape, form, color, value, texture, and space. Students will learn studio etiquette and be encouraged to set up and clean up throughout each lesson while maintaining social distancing. Gentle movement and simple art inspired games will make for a fun creative experience. May be repeated as every session has new projects and skills.
