At the Santa Barbara Youth Sailing Foundation, we’re dedicated to providing a safe and fun learning environment for young sailors. Our mission is to teach seamanship, sailing, and sailboat racing, all while instilling important values such as fitness, self-reliance, responsibility, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We strive to create an atmosphere of safety and security as our top priority. We want our students to feel comfortable and confident while they learn the fundamentals of sailing and racing. Our instructors will ensure that the skills taught are in accordance with the best safety practices as we foster an appreciation for the sport.
