About Sharks Ice

Sharks Ice at San Jose is the largest rink facility west of the Mississippi. Located in San Jose, California at the corner of Alma and Tenth Street, the 370,000 square-feet facility offers plenty of activities for the whole family. With six NHL-sized ice rinks, it is one of only seven facilities of its kind in the entire United States. Ice hockey, figure skating, broomball, curling, speed skating, and ice dancing are all available, plus a public skating area. It is also the official practice facility of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks and the home to the AHL's San Jose Barracuda. In addition, Sharks Ice at San Jose is the proud holder of the largest number of Adult USA Hockey participants (2,400) in the nation. For a break between skating activities, guests can visit the in-house pro shop or one of the two full service restaurants and bars that overlook three and two of the rinks respectively. Sharks Ice at San Jose is the perfect spot for a fun and active day out!

LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM

We offer group skating lessons for ages 3 to Adult, all with exceptional student to teacher ratios. Group instruction includes a 30 minute class and 30 minute supervised practice. Each skater will receive a pin upon completion of each level, and a certificate of completion for each class (Skating Classes Only). Skating Classes are designed to take participants from beginning steps through advanced Freestyle levels. Hockey Classes are for Beginner through Advanced levels, with each class focusing on skill development, positional play and FUN!

Jr Sharks House League

The goal of the Jr Sharks House League is to provide a positive youth hockey experience for players of all skills levels that will help them develop as players and individuals, and foster a life-long enjoyment of the game of hockey. We strive to create an environment where Northern California youth can learn valuable life skills such as teamwork, good sportsmanship, positive attitude and strong work ethic. The Jr Sharks House League is a recreational ice hockey program that fields teams in five age divisions: 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U. We are the house hockey branch of the San Jose Jr Sharks club, a USA Hockey Model Association.
