At Recess Collective, we understand the importance of building a solid foundation for early childhood development. We believe in the power of community to promote healthy development through perinatal education, imaginative play, and connection. Our mission is to provide families with support and resources to confidently transition into parenthood. We strive to remove the barriers to success for urban families. This includes providing access to vetted resources, safe and clean spaces for play, and reliable caregiving options. We believe that by creating a connected village, we can lighten the load for parents while nurturing children from the time of pregnancy through the first four years of life. At Recess Collective, we are committed to providing an inclusive, community-driven organization to support the development of children and families. We strive to create an environment that promotes healthy development and connection for all.

Coming together, particularly during a pandemic may feel exciting, awkward, nerve wracking, essential and nourishing. We are here for all of it and are looking forward to learning how to be together again right alongside you. Check out our in-person expecting parent circles and new parent groups, currently held at Black Bird Bookstore & Cafe.
