About Children's Creativity Museum in San Francisco, CA

The Children's Creativity Museum is a unique place for families to explore and learn. Founded in the 1990s as part of a downtown San Francisco redevelopment project, the museum is a safe and fun environment for children ages 2-12 to engage in play-based learning and explore their creative curiosities. Our "look-and-please-touch" approach to art and technology has been a hallmark of our museum for more than 20 years. At the Children's Creativity Museum, we strive to build essential creative confidence and collaboration skills in children from diverse backgrounds. We are proud to be located in Yerba Buena, one of California's 14 cultural districts, and to have a director and staff that are equally represented by people of color. Our mission is to create a space for children and families to come together, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity or income, and to foster creativity and collaboration through hands-on multimedia arts and technology experiences.

Workshops with Nationally-Known Asian-American Artist

join multimedia artist Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya in a storytelling ritual and community event as part of her upcoming project “Let the Future Speak," funded in part by the Asian Art Museum. Share your story and help build an archive of Asian American and Pacific Islander voices, sounds, and stories from across the Bay Area. We are inviting participants who are willing to have their stories recorded and archived to bring an artifact, object, or photograph that is a touchpoint for their identity, or something that holds significant meaning to them.
