After facing many obstacles, Howard was determined to defy the odds and prove himself. He worked hard to obtain a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, and in 2018 he and Rebecca began volunteering and working with We Rock the Spectrum. Since childhood, Antonia has had a strong affinity for dance and performance, which she honed through ballet, contemporary dance, musicals, and television. Her interests in health and wellness have led her to build Zooga Yoga, a studio and brand that provides books, music, yoga cards, and yoga gear. She is dedicated to bringing the Zooga YogaPlay® interactive experience to children and families across the US, while managing her LA-based studio with her partner Chris and their three kids. Rubi and Yolanda Reyes opened Art Flying Yoga in Walteria, Torrance in 2012 and the business quickly became a success. In 2014, their brother Manuel, along with brothers Nick and Enrique, opened up Art Flying Aerial in Lomita to expand the aerial business, and in 2016 Art Flying Yoga moved into the Art Flying Aerial building. Manuel serves as the face of the business, answering customer questions, while Nick and Enrique co-manage. The Reyes family also offers a variety of artistic services from Rubi’s aerial programs and teacher trainings to Yolanda’s belly dance and Zumba classes. At Mission Bay Aquatic Center, parents can trust that their children will enjoy the beauty of the San Diego waterfront while learning to safely enjoy watersports. The center is the largest instructional waterfront facility in the world and has been serving the public for over 45 years. Last year over 30,000 participants experienced surfing, sailing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, stand up paddling, waterskiing, rowing, kayaking, and windsurfing. The center is owned and operated by Associated Students of San Diego State University and UCSD Recreation, and is open to the public. The Watersports Camp, sponsored by the Peninsula Family YMCA, is a youth day camp that offers kids ages 6-17 a chance to enjoy the waterfront and learn about watersports. Safety is of the utmost priority at MBAC. The center is recognized as a model for safe watersports education and operations and is the regional boating safety center for the California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways.
