About JP's Surf Camp in San Clemente, CA
Jonathan Pierce, the proud owner and operator of JP's Surf Camp, has been surfing since he was a young boy. With a Masters Degree in Education and teaching experience with the Capistrano Unified School District, Jonathan has the perfect combination of education and experience to share with his students. His 25 years of surfing experience and CPR/First Aid certification make him a great asset for anyone looking to learn how to surf. Jonathan's love for the ocean is obvious through his enthusiasm and dedication to teaching. He believes that introducing children to the sport of surfing is a pure privilege and one that he takes great joy in. He hopes that by teaching them to surf, they will grow to love and respect the ocean just as he does.

Surf Camp
JP's Surf Camp offers children through adult the opportunity to learn how to surf or better their surfing ability in a small group environment. Small group instruction provides students with more individual attention and a safer environment in which to learn surfing. Emphasis is on ocean awareness, surfing instruction and technique, surfing etiquette, wave selection and judgment, proper surfing equipment and overall physical fitness. Soft surfboards are used for instruction. Rash guards are provided.
