The Art Center (TAC) was established in 2014 to bring the rural community together to learn and explore the arts. Through successful programs, the center has attracted artists of all skill levels and backgrounds. Children and adults alike can attend art classes and camps, while enjoying exhibitions from both age groups. Every year, the TAC also supports the RUSD art exhibition.
TAC has provided a wonderful opportunity for the rural community to come together and appreciate the arts. Through an array of classes and camps for both children and adults, the center has enabled countless individuals to explore their creative side. Additionally, every year, the center sponsors the RUSD art exhibition, giving members of the community a chance to showcase their artistic talents.
Since its establishment in 2014, the Art Center has been a beacon of creativity in the rural community. It offers a wide range of classes and camps for both children and adults, allowing them to learn from each other and professional art instructors. Furthermore, TAC sponsors exhibitions from both age groups as well as the annual RUSD art exhibition, creating a platform for all to display their work.
Art camp is a fun way for kids to express themselves! Art Camp for Kids Part 1 activities include:
Day 1 – Create Your Own Character! Children will be encouraged to create a
cartoon character and tell a story to go along with it. Pencils, markers, and
acrylic paint will be used to complete a character on canvas board.
Day 2 – Nature printing. Children will use rubber forms of fish leaves and other articles in nature to make a
cloth bag. Children who wish to bring their own pre-washed t-shirt are welcome to print on their own clothing.
(Not on clothing being worn that day!)
Day 3 – Undersea painting. Children will be encouraged to create a scene from photos of underwater
photography to use oil pastel crayons and paint to strengthen the composition. At end of camp Day 3, students will exhibit artwork at an artists’ reception for parents to attend.

Lyn Feudner Wild Wire to Wearable Fused Glass
The options of jewelry making with glass and wire are vast. Over 13 years of experimentation I've found some things that work well and I'd like to share with people interested in glass and jewelry. In this workshop we get right to work forming silver to embed between layers of Glass that will be fused in a kiln. Students will have unique handmade glass pendants after firing or forged wire work to take home the day of the workshop if their interest is working with wire. Small wire sculpture is an option to work on as well. Work with wire only for $25.00
Beginners welcome all materials provided. We start with forming a silver bail to be embedded between the layers of glass, choose glass colors you like and work in some wire or other extras. Top with clear glass and it's ready to fire. Advance to etching dichroic glass and painting on glass with liquid glass.
