Walton's Grizzly Lodge is the perfect summer camp experience for kids ages 7-15! Located in the Sierras of Northern California, the camp centers around a private lake, offering over 40 activities daily. Water sports, horseback riding, arts and crafts, athletics, archery, and a 500 foot zip line across the lake are just some of the activities available to campers. The camp is run by fourth generation owners and directors, and has a rich history, dating all the way back to 1926. With such a long-standing tradition, Walton's Grizzly Lodge is the premier residential summer camp on the West Coast, making sure campers have a quality experience and memories that will last a lifetime.

Summer Camp
One of the most exciting aspects of camp life for our campers is deciding which of our many activities to choose from. Campers can go horseback riding along beautiful mountain trails, participate in our extensive ropes course program, fish in our private lake or play a wide variety of sports. For those who want to be on the water, we offer water skiing, wake boarding, stand up paddle boarding, swimming and boating. When campers want to take it easy they can choose from a wide variety of craft activities.

Camper In Leadership Training Program (C.I.L.T.)
Our Regular Program is for new and returning campers 7 – 15 years old. If your child attended Walton's Grizzly Lodge last summer, turns 16 by June 1st and will have completed the 10th grade, he or she may be invited to apply for our CILT Program (Camper in Leadership Training). Letters of invitation, along with information about how to apply, are mailed October 1st. The CILT Program is a two-year program. First Year CILTs must turn 16 years old by June 1st and have completed the 10th grade. Second Year CILTs must have completed the first-year CILT Program. CILTs receive a 10% tuition discount. Special privileges are given to CILTs including first choice of activities, time at the Staff House and a special CILT Day Out.

Outdoor Adventure Program
The purpose of the Outdoor Adventure Program (OAP) is to extend the Walton's Grizzly Lodge Summer Camp experience by providing campers the opportunity to connect with their natural environment, deepen friendships and build new skills in the wilderness. The Outdoor Adventure Program is a one-week backpacking program for 13-17 year old campers. Enrollment is limited to 16 campers who show leadership potential and are ready to handle the rigors of this adventurous week in the outdoors.
