About Ramah Outdoor Adventure

At Camp Ramah, campers learn more than just swimming and archery. They learn about Jewish life and how to be a part of it, gaining skills for a life committed to God, Torah, the Jewish people, and tikkun olam. Through activities like prayer services, Shabbat dinners, and classes in Jewish culture, campers become more connected to their faith and identity as Jews. Camp Ramah in California creates close-knit communities that nurture the development of Jewish identity and experiences, providing an environment where campers and staff can learn and grow together. With the support of the National Ramah Commission, the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at American Jewish University, and other institutions of the Conservative movement, Camp Ramah helps to ensure that Jewish traditions live on for future generations.

Day Camp
We are excited to announce that Camp Ramah in California will be expanding its program in the summer of 2024 to include a Los Angeles area Day Camp! The Day Camp will provide innovative, fun, Jewishly infused, rich programming – just like our overnight camp.

Ohr Lanu Family Camp
Families come together for a retreat of study, prayer, respite, support, and fun in the beautiful hills of the Ojai Valley. Children with special needs ages 4 to 14, along with their parents and siblings, will enjoy specialized, therapeutic programming in a supportive environment. Ohr Lanu’s warm, caring staff includes trained special educators, behavior, and family education specialist, and individual counselors paired with each family. All campers will experience the fun of summer camp participating in activities such as drama, dance, music, and art and siblings will participate in their own group activities, helping create bonds in a supportive environment. Parents will engage in texts, networking, and relaxation. Together families will enjoy everything Camp Ramah offers: an Olympic size swimming pool, ropes course, hiking trails, and more.

Early Childhood Family Camp
We are pleased to partner with the Jewish Federation to host Early Childhood Family Camps (ECFC) throughout the year at Camp Ramah. These weekends are for families with at least one child in preschool and most of the camps are synagogue-based.
