School Programs are designed to give students a unique learning experience. With a variety of programs, from outdoor education to team building activities, your students will have the opportunity to gain important skills while exploring and connecting with the natural environment.

Challenge Course activities are designed to help individuals, teams, and organizations reach a new level of performance. Through activities that require problem solving, communication, and trust, participants are able to develop life skills and foster a strong sense of community.

Sherwood is a ministry designed around the adventures of Robin Hood with fourth through sixth grade students in mind. Within a week spent in the forest, campers will have the opportunity to engage the way God heals community and discover their own purpose within that adventure. Through Gospel themes, experiential “hands on” learning, fellowship, and the encouraged use of imagination, Sherwood campers will discover that they have a place in the story, and it is a tale they will not want to miss!

SHERWOOD FOREST

Picture this: you, a 11-14 year old, are shipwrecked on a deserted island with a group of your peers. The island is filled with food and resources, but you have little to no understanding on how to “survive”, more importantly, understand and empathize with those around you in order to accomplish the collective challenges that face you all. How do we adapt physically, emotionally, and spiritually to these unusual circumstances? How do we build self esteem and character through gaining confidence in learning primitive skills and how do we create community with those who are different from ourselves. Camp Driftwood recreates this island scenario but up on the hill of Westminster Woods within the Redwoods and on the windswept beaches of the wild North Pacific!  (BTW - There IS food, shelter, and plenty of adult supervision - this is not Lord of the Flies…we promise).

Formally known as Friendship Camp, A Week in the Woods is created for teens and adults with developmental disabilities to experience the glory of God’s creation immersed in nature and surrounded by loving people.
