Camp Scherman is a special place for Orange County Girl Scouts, tucked away in the San Jacinto Mountains just a few hours from Orange County. Here, girls have the opportunity to explore their potential and build confidence in their abilities through a wide range of activities. Whether they’re taking in the scent of Jeffrey Pines or getting active in the Cedar Springs Trail, the pool, or Promise Lake, they’ll discover new challenges, collaborate with others, and take on new leadership skills.
For over 50 years, Camp Scherman has been an integral part of the Orange County Girl Scouts experience. From learning independence to participating in time-honoured traditions, it’s an ideal place for girls to grow and make meaningful connections with nature. Whether she’s paddling across Promise Lake or playing games with friends, there are plenty of chances to discover her greatness.
Summer Sleepaway Camp at Camp Scherman is an enriching outdoor experience for Girl Scouts in grades 2-12. Campers experience independence as they explore the world around them, challenge themselves to try something new, and build self-confidence while making new friends.
