About Westside Children's Theatre

At our theater, we believe in cultivating a supportive environment for our students. We emphasize the importance of the process and ensemble performance approach to help students believe in their own inner artist. Every rehearsal is an opportunity for our students to discover their individual natural wonderment and abilities, as well as their unique passions. Our theater provides our students with a collaborative and safe space to take risks, trust each other, and be part of a larger community. This sense of belonging helps children interact more effectively with their peers, and form a more meaningful sense of self. We want our students to graduate with the confidence and self-assurance they need to be successful in their ever-changing world. At our theater, we strive to provide an enriched experience that will help our students grow both personally and professionally. We believe that by emphasizing the importance of process and ensemble performance, and creating a supportive and collaborative environment, our students will graduate with the skills and confidence to take them through curtain call and beyond.

Season-Long Productions
Our full production seasons typically run Fall through Spring (in accordance with the school year). Your child will rehearse with us 1 to 2 times per week and is expected in attendance every day during the week leading up to the performances (otherwise known as “tech week”). WCT prides itself in providing individualized attention to our students as well as fully realized and professional quality performances, where your child will act, sing, and dance on stage with professional lighting, costuming, and set design!

Workshops
Our workshops will be open to anyone who is interested! Participation in one of our shows will not be a requirement in order to register.

Private Lessons
Our professional team of theatre educators are at the ready to work one-on-one with your child in person or online. It’s up to you! Weekly private or semi-private coaching available in: acting, voice, piano, percussion, dance, and more.
