About Sophie Dance

Miss Kat, a Broadway star in the making, was born and raised on the east coast and was no stranger to the youth theatre scene. She was constantly in rehearsals for a new show and the theatre was a part of her childhood. After mentioning her dream of bringing youth theatre back into her life to Miss Sophie, the two of them decided to create Sophie Dance Westside Players. Every year, the program offers two musicals and is the perfect place for young performers to hone their talents. Miss Kat and Miss Sophie have created an amazing opportunity for young performers to show off their skills and become the star they dream of. By offering two musicals each year, Sophie Dance Westside Players provides a platform to build their skills, confidence, and creativity. Not only will the students be able to perform, but they will also be able to learn musical theatre fundamentals with experienced instructors. Miss Kat and Miss Sophie truly care about providing a positive and safe environment for young performers. Their program is one of the few in the area that focuses solely on musical theatre. Miss Kat, who has a passion for youth theatre, is passionate about providing a creative outlet for kids and teens to express themselves. With their combined experience, they have created a place that is sure to inspire and bring out the best in every performer.

Summer Classes

Our Summer Class Pass is only for ages 8+ and allows our dancers to come to any 10 dance classes throughout the Summer (June 12 - August 26). This class pass option was created for our Team dancers who need an easy way to meet their Summer dance requirements without needing to commit to a specific weekly class. It is also open to any dancers age 8 & up.

Dance Camp

Every week is a new, fun theme, usually related to a new or popular kids movie or TV show! Campers will work towards an end of week performance by learning dances, memorizing lines, and creating fun art projects throughout each day! Campers will also play games and ice breakers to get to know one another, and each day watch 30 minutes of the movie related to their camp theme!

Birthday Parties

Parties are for children turning age 4 and up. Parties for children under 3 years old may be available with required additions booked for your party such as additional teacher and additional entertainment and are for a maximum of 12 children only. Parties for children turning 3 are only available to current Sophie Dance students and with approval from Miss Sophie. We do not offer parties for children turning 1 or 2.
