Youth Capoeira Batuque

Cultivating a healthy community through Movement, Music and Arts Education. This dynamic program is designed to expose children to the rich Afro-Brazilian art form of Capoeira and all it’s wonders. Not only do children learn this great Martial Art, but they also learn acrobatics, dance, percussive instruments, singing, history and Portuguese. They learn to function within a community by being active members. We use Capoeira as a vehicle to teach discipline, trust, respect, leadership, mindfulness, creativity, mentorship, focus, fitness, awareness and exploration.
