About Roughing It Day Camp

Families have been exploring the outdoors since 1972 with the Woods family. Ann and Hobie Woods, joined by their daughter Amy, now have their grandson Cecilio as a third generation camper! Discover the great outdoors at our 900 acre lakefront site in Lafayette. With trails for hiking, fresh air, exercise, and fun, your family will have the opportunity to grow and develop new skills. Safety is our highest priority, so you can rest assured that your family will be safe while they're exploring. Our longer sessions allow for camper growth, skill development, and of course, lots of fun! Whether your family has been exploring the outdoors for years or is just starting out, you'll enjoy quality time together in a safe and secure environment. Younger Campers PreK and Kindergarten
Campers entering PreK and Kindergarten are grouped by grade and will build skills, confidence and make friends. While most of our youngest campers are ready for 4 & 8-week Day Camp, some families may wish to start with a 2-week introductory program.

1st - 4th Grade
Campers going into 1st-4th grade participate in groups and activities designed for their abilities, interests, and development level. Longer sessions provide campers consistency and plenty of opportunities to build skills, confidence and make friends all summer long.

Older Campers and Teens 5th - 10th Grade
Older campers entering 5th-10th grade experience everything camp has to offer, with activities designed for their age, abilities and interests. Get ready to have a full, exciting summer you will never forget: new friends, amazing staff, and adventures you will want to share with everyone you know!
