For families in La Mirada, LMSA provides an outstanding opportunity to be involved in the soccer community. Through a variety of volunteer roles, LMSA provides a way for family members of all ages to participate. Coaches, assistant coaches, team parents and more are welcome to join in the effort to promote the beautiful game. LMSA also provides the opportunity for those aged 14 and over to become paid referees. With a focus on low cost, low travel, and low time commitment, LMSA encourages a fun, safe, and fair environment for all participants. All players in U10 divisions and younger are guaranteed to play at least half of every game, and U12 and above must also play at least half of every game. With a long tradition of service to the La Mirada soccer community, LMSA is an excellent choice for families looking to get involved.

BeAKid
Recreational Soccer Program
LMSA's Recreational Soccer Program focuses on offering youth soccer opportunities in a balanced, fun, and competitive setting. LMSA Rec Soccer is committed to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on travel or high level competition. Each player is given the opportunity to develop his or her soccer skills in way of practices and in games as players are organized onto a team of all skill levels. LMSA offers two recreational seasons, one in the fall and one in the spring. Recreational Leagues are administered at the local level that emphasize open participation and player registration, and employs a system of rostering players for the purpose of creating a fair and balanced distribution of playing talent among all participating Teams, and where each player plays at least one-half (1/2) of each game.

Signature Program
The objective of the LMFC Signature Program is to provide an intermediary playing level that better prepares players, parents, and coaches for the transition from recreational play to competitive club play. The LMFC Signature Program is perfect for families wanting a more competitive soccer experience and player development opportunity while still keeping open the option to play sports in other seasons. Signature also serves as a natural progression, or transition, for players wishing to play at a higher level, while retaining many of the benefits of a recreational schedule at a lower cost. Signature Leagues are "localized" playing circuits formed by nearby recreational leagues. There are a number of rules that are unique to the Signature League such as a 50% play rule for all players, a limit on the annual financial costs, and a limitation on distance of travel.
