Programs at Northwood (Irvine) Little League in Irvine, CA

BeAKid
Ice Cream/Tee Ball

-For players league age 4 to 6 years old. -Learn the fundamentals of baseball. -All players hit a ball off a batting tee. -No score is kept during the game, other than keeping track of maximum of five (5) runs scored per inning. -Tee Ball rosters may be composed of between 10 and 12 players. -No live pitching is permitted in this division. Generally, the base paths are set at fifty (50) feet. Games for Ice Cream Tee Ball are one hour long, while Tee Ball games are 1 1/2 hours.

Rookie Ball

-"Coach-pitch" baseball designed for a player that has played a year in Tee Ball. -No score is kept during the game, other than keeping track of maximum of five (5) runs scored per inning. -Players are out after three (3) strikes or after seven (7) pitches, whichever comes first. -Rosters may be composed of 10 to 12 players. -Basepaths are set at sixty (60) feet. -Games are 6 innings or 1.5 hours (whichever occurs first).

Games are 6 innings or 2 hours (whichever occurs first).
