At Rainbow Art Studio, we understand that art is a unique and important part of a student’s education. Our customized program is designed to meet each student’s needs and goals. We focus on developing students’ artistic skills, creativity, and confidence. Our teachers introduce fundamental concepts such as form, color, composition, and perspective, and work with a variety of media, such as charcoal, watercolor, collage, and printmaking.

In this course, students will learn the foundation of 2D and 3D design principles. 3D thinking will be developed through freehand sketching and perspective drawing techniques. Students will explore different materials such as modeling clay, foam board, wire, and cardboard.

Painting with Mixed Media (6th-9th)
This course is an opportunity for students to explore personal expression through painting with mixed media. Students will combine traditional and unconventional media to create unique results. A wide range of materials will be used, including acrylic paint, collage, fabric, wire, wood, and everyday objects.

Comic & Character Design (6th-9th)
In this course, students will learn to render basic human anatomy, facial expressions and figurative motion through hand drawn character design. They will use imaginative narration to create short stories through storyboarding, study of popular illustration styles and media, and draft comic strips. Basic traditional and digital mediums are taught, such as ink wash, poster and acrylic paints, and Photoshop. Studies of famous animators and styles will be incorporated into the class curriculum.
