About SOAR for Youth Summer Academies in Los Angeles, CA
With the help of the SOAR program, foster youth are able to achieve success and reach their full potential. The SOAR program gives foster youth the support, opportunities, and rapport they need to make the transition from youth to adulthood. Through academic coaching, life skills, leadership development, and outdoor activities foster youth can develop self-confidence, trust, and teamwork skills. With our four-year summer residential pre-collegiate program, and additional years of sustained support, foster youth gain the tools they need to not only graduate from high school, but to attend college and pursue their dreams.

Summer Internship Program
SOAR for Youth creates a bright future for Bay Area foster youths, who are among the most vulnerable members of our society. Partnering with UC Berkeley, SOAR helps these young people aged 11-19 move through adolescence and into their adult lives with independence and purpose. We believe that support at this life-stage has the most positive influence on their journey to success.
