For more than 40 years, Monarchs has been a leader in children’s physical fitness instruction. Founded in 1977 by a group of devoted parents, Monarchs has flourished under the ownership of Yelena Urusova and Vitaly Urusov since 1997. With the 2003 opening of a second location in Newbury Park, Monarchs became a cornerstone of the Conejo Valley. After a decade of further growth, MonarX Parkour Complex and Monarchs Mobile Gymnastics opened in 2012. At Monarchs, we are committed to inspiring children to learn, grow, and succeed through fun physical activities such as gymnastics, ninja, parkour, tumbling, cheer, camp, and birthday parties. We strive to serve our customers to the best of our abilities and exceed their expectations. BeAKid
Kinder
The Monarchs Kinder Gym program is a great start to the gymnastics sport. Our safety and certified instructors work hand in hand with your child to drive their growing development. Through our established curriculum they will learn life skills using gymnastics as an instrument for gross motor skills and kindergarten attention spans. Your child will build strength, flexibility and coordination in addition to spatial and perceptual awareness. Monarchs students will learn to build self confidence and basic social skills in a group setting. Classes utilize gymnastics apparatus (vault, bears, beam, floor, rings, ribbons; etc.), props (ball, lumi sticks, hula hoops, bean bags; etc) and stations to master colors, numbers, and lay a solid foundation for physical fitness. Students will be introduced to forward and backward rolls, handstands and cartwheels. At Monarchs we let our imaginations soar so that your child's imagination can too! Girls Gymnastics
Our Monarchs Girls Gymnastics program for ages 6+ is composed of progression based classes designed to foster the growth and aptitude of your child's foundational gymnastics comprehension and ability. Our safety and curriculum certified instructors utilize gymnastics as a tool for physical development, gymnastics ability, as well as promoting self confidence, sportsmanship, and psychosocial benefits. Students will become familiar with adequate terminology, body position awareness, and use of proper techniques to achieve skill deconstruction and progression. Our students will be instructed on all four events: Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam and Floor as well as go through a warm - up and group conditioning sequence. Your gymnast will work on introductory skills such as bridges, forward and backward rolls, handstands and cartwheels which build strength, agility, flexibility and coordination. Boys Program
The Monarchs Boy Gymnastics program is designed for boys ages 4-13 years to foster the growth and aptitude of your child's foundation, gymnastics comprehension and ability. Our safety and curriculum certified instructors utilize gymnastics as a tool for physical development, gymnastics ability, as well as promoting self confidence, sportsmanship, and psychosocial benefits. Students will become familiar with adequate terminology, body position awareness, and use of proper techniques to achieve skill deconstruction and progression. Our instructors will work with your child to participate in coordination exercises teaching them to become stronger, agile, and flexible. Our students utilize Floor, Pommel Horse, Still Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, and Horizontal Bar as well as go through a warm - up and group conditioning sequence.
