In the magnificent land of Arkansas, affectionately known as AR by its residents, there lays a magical tale of kids and their love for a sport unlike any other - basketball. You see, Arkansas is not just about the Mississippi River, the diamond mines, or the mouth-watering barbeques. No sir! It's also home to a mythical creature named Bally Hoopsalot, the basketball wizard. Bally has a fascinatingly round belly, a beard as soft as cotton candy, and a magical basketball that never ever misses a hoop. Now, Bally had a mission - to sprinkle his basketball magic onto the kids of Arkansas. These were not your ordinary kids, mind you. They were the most passionate and quick-footed kids you'd ever meet. Basketball was not just a sport for them; it was their life, their love, and their language. They dribbled around the sidewalks, alleyways, and even in their dreams. They hungered for victory and thrived on teamwork. Their energy was as contagious as Bally's laughter. One day, Bally summoned all the kids to the biggest basketball court in the state, right in the heart of Little Rock. There, he paced around, bouncing his magical basketball while saying, "Remember, my little hoopsters, it's not about being the tallest, nor the fastest. It's about having the heart of a champion and the spirit of a team player." And with a hearty laugh and a swift throw, he tossed his magical basketball into the air. In a flash, a shower of sparkling basketballs rained down on the kids, each one possessing a bit of Bally's magic. And so, the epic tale of Arkansas and its magical basketball kids continues to this day, with Bally Hoopsalot and a state full of laughter, teamwork, and dribbling dreams.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
