About Camp Tanako

Campers are given the opportunity to explore and try new activities that build confidence and help them to see the world in different ways. At Camp Tanako, participants of all ages gain a better understanding of the presence of God in the world. Campers have the chance to step out of their everyday routines in order to be immersed in and experience the beauty of creation in a safe and loving environment. With this, they return to their home congregations more empowered and with a stronger relationship with God, ready to engage in local and congregational ministries.

Programs

The classes, camps and experiences this business offers.

C.I.T. Program

The C.I.T. program is designed for rising 6th-9th graders. There are limited spots, and applicants will be interviewed by Tanako staff. We will offer 8 weeks of programming. Our goal is for our C.I.T. students to gain a working knowledge of camp operations, while also enjoying the camp as they lead and participate in peer lead bible studies and worship, activities around camp, and assist with meal service each day. The Program is designed to offer classes during the day and overnight if they choose.
