Every day after school, or between nibbling on biscuits and sweet tea at grandma's house, the kids of AL would gather at tennis courts, rackets at the ready, to emulate the mighty Sir Smash-a-Lot. Their laughter echoed across the courts as they sprinted, swung their rackets, and aimed for the stars, just like their hero. And so, in the delightful state of AL, under the watchful eyes of the cotton candy clouds and amidst the chorus of nature's symphony, the spirit of Sir Smash-a-Lot lived on in every child who loved the game of tennis and dared to dream big.

Instead of modern cabins, they had to make do with tents and a campfire for their meals. Fast-forward to today, and Blue Lake United Methodist Assembly has grown into a bustling destination for campers of all ages. Three modern camps, Pinewood, Dogwood, and Oakwood, provide a total of 525 beds for overnight guests.
